Beatrice Selotegneg

A proud mother of three daughters and five grandchildren, a seasoned leader and college academic advisor, human resource expert, and aviation management executive, Beatrice Selotlegeng holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in business administration from Indiana University and Ohio University respectively. Her global outlook and academic history are the backbone of her illustrious career in aviation, banking and academia spanning over half a century. Her aviation career began with East African Airways Corporation in Kenya before joining Air Botswana, where she held various positions including Head of Human Resources Deputy CEO and Acting CEO overseeing the acquisition of a British Aerospace jet aircraft and privatization of the airline. Beatrice also worked as a Regional Manager at Standard Chartered Bank in Botswana before relocating to the USA. In 2005, Glenn Corlett, (Dean of the College of Business at Ohio University) invited Beatrice to serve as an Executive-In-Residence faculty given her international exposure. In 2007, Beatrice became the interim Director at Ohio University's Women's Center and due to her invaluable contributions, the Beatrice Selotlegeng Scholarship was established in 2018 to benefit students from underrepresented populations. Beatrice continues to inspire many and advocates for diversity, equity, and inclusion for the betterment of our social constructs.
