Mark Burden

Chief Security Officer

Mark A. Burden is a U.S. Army veteran, psychology graduate, and security professional with extensive experience in combat operations, law enforcement training, and private protective services. He served honorably in the United States Army from October 2001 to February 2006 as a Helicopter Repairer and Crew Chief. During his military service, Mark was a leader within a Quick Reaction Force (QRF) and participated in over 300 combat missions throughout Iraq, including direct-action raids and detainee interrogations.

His operational experience spans multiple high-risk regions, including Baghdad, Mosul, Tikrit, Fallujah, and Al Kut, Iraq, where he operated in fast-paced, high-threat environments requiring precision, discipline, and sound judgment under pressure. These experiences shaped his leadership style and deepened his understanding of human behavior, stress responses, and team dynamics in combat settings.

In 2022, Mark completed the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy (OPOTA), earning certification in law enforcement procedures, crisis response, and public safety operations. He also brings two years of experience as a private bodyguard in Houston, Texas, providing close protection services that required advanced threat assessment, situational awareness, discretion, and professionalism.

Mark has completed a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, complementing his operational background with formal training in behavioral science, trauma, and psychological theory. His academic and professional interests are focused on PTSD and trauma-informed leadership, particularly as they relate to military personnel, first responders, and high-risk professionals.

Across his career, Mark has held leadership roles as a technician, trainer, supervisor, and business co-founder. He is known for his calm leadership under pressure, commitment to teamwork, and ability to integrate operational experience with psychological insight to support mission success and human well-being.
